Associate Elin Uusväli writing about the unexpected result of holidays – termination of employment
The use of holidays can be accompanied by many unexpected consequences both for employers and employees. In the informative bulletin “Salary” of the business daily Äripäev (Palk, No. 15/2017), associate Elin Uusväli of the LEADELL Pilv was a co-author of an article about problems related to holidays. In the overview Elin is explaining if and which role is played by the employee’s stay on holiday upon termination of employment relation.
The article is emphasising the importance of composing a holiday schedule by employer for each calendar year indicating the period holidays (including study leave) of the employees. Additionally the importance of formalising holidays in relation to the termination of employment is explained.
