On 31 March 2016 the Delfi interior and design web portal published an article ”How simple or difficult it is to terminate joint property” by attorney-at-law Tambet Laasik.
In the article the author is handling practical and legal problems related to the division and termination of joint property by co-owners. In details the termination of joint property upon agreement between the parties and with notarial contract is described. Additionally the article is discussing the determination of the use of joint property and analysing the practical problem where the joint property subject to be divided is a property with a valid mortgage. In the article the author is making a conclusion that instead of court dispute the parties should prefer the termination of joint property by agreement.
