Lada Riisna joins LEADELL Pilv to strengthen law firm’s competence in Banking and Finance and M&A
Senior associate Lada Riisna has become a member of LEADELL Pilv team. Lada has 10 years of professional experience in banking and finance law practice area and she has advised on number of mergers and acquisitions transactions. We are delighted that Lada will lead and further develop LEADELL Pilv’s B&F and M&A practice groups.
Having strong focus on credit and financial institutions in such matters as compliance, fit & proper, prudential requirements, acquisitions of qualifying shareholdings in the regulated entities, licensing processes, etc., she is permanently advising prominent international and Estonian financial institutions on structured finance, acquisition finance and project finance transactions (debt and equity financing), also cross-border restructuring and finance. Lada is known as an expert advising financial technology businesses, in particular, as regard to payment and credit cards solutions, crowd funding, e-money but also product integration processes between the banks and nonbanking financial institutions etc. She has gained a significant expertise in portfolios transfer transaction of certain fintech-loan products with the participation of big Polish consumer lending company in 2016.
Lada has recently participated in public consultation on legislative amendment of the Creditors and Credit Intermediaries Act of Estonia in 2017 and in public consultation of European Central Bank on new guidelines for fit & proper assessment of the managers of credit institutions under the Directive 2013/36/EU. In 2016 Lada has also advised Estonian Deposit Guarantee Fund on implementation of the Deposits Guarantee Schemes Directive (DGSD) as regards to a cross-border deposits. Lada is also practising in corporate and commercial law, intellectual property law, insolvency, winding up and reorganisation.
Lada is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of Tartu University (Master Degree, 2006) and Vladivostok’s State University of Economics and Consumer Services in Russian Federation in 1998.
Lada communicates in Estonian, Russian, English, French and beginner’s Mandarin.
