Pirkka-Marja Põldvere and Kaili Rätsepp successfully represented a client in an employment dispute
Partner Pirkka-Marja Põldvere and attorney Kaili Rätsepp successfully represented an employer in two employment disputes, in which employees had terminated their employment contracts due to an alleged reduction of additional remuneration and damage to health, including work stress and work-related sleep. Pirkka-Marja Põldvere and Kaili Rätsepp argued and proved that there was no occupational hazards, that there was no causal link between the employer’s actions and the employee’s health impairment, and that the employer had fulfilled its obligations to the employees under both the law and the employment contract. The Commission upheld the client’s claims for annulment of the termination of the employment contract in their entirety and, as a result, the workers’ compensation claims against the employer are unfounded. Both decisions of the labour dispute commission have entered into force.
