Pirkka-Marja Põldvere on ICC Estonias webinar series: why and which arbitration?
Today was the last webinar of the arbitration webinar series organised by ICC Estonia, in which attorney-at-law and partner of LEADELL Pilv Law Office introduced the nature of arbitration. For starters, Pirkka-Marja Põldvere explained (on 18.03.2022) what is arbitration, what are its advantages compared to arbitration and why should arbitration be good for entrepreneurs. The second webinar (on 14.04.2022) was aimed at introducing the arbitral procedure from request to award, as well as on grounds for disputing it. The purpose of the last webinar today was to explain the nature of institutional arbitration and to compare various institutions used in the region. Pirkka-Marja Põldvere was talking more generally of institutions and introduced the practice of the Arbitration Court of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce (being a member of its council), and the co-lector of the last webinar, Triinu Hiob (NJORD) described the specifics of ICC Arbitration.
