Another webinar this week from our attorneys! Partner Pirkka-Marja P\u00f5ldvere<\/a> and attorney-at-law Epp Lumiste<\/a> discussed the aims and practicalities related to the new whistleblower’s act, enacted by the Estonian government with quite a delay compared with EU directive requirements. Even though minimum requirements were taken over, it remains to be seen how the law would be relied on (or not) in practice. One way or another, this would increase the work load of lawyers (advising clients on preparing the internal rules and systems for reporting, employment disputes etc., and responding to client questions as to is it really necessary to set up all those systems compared to current systems in various enterprises).
