Annika\u2019s main practice areas include litigation, corporate law and taxation. In addition, she has considerable experience in cryptocurrency related legal issues, including \u00a0data protection, financing, information technology, investments, banking, as well as related white-collar crimes. She has advised clients on the creation of internet portals, virtual currency platforms and exchanges, prepared relevant documentation and applied for licenses from the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit and the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority. Annika has provided compliance officer services to licensed companies, represented clients in court in cases related to tokens and cryptocurrency, and advised on taxation of cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n<p>Before starting work-life in several smaller law firms, Annika graduated the law faculty of the University of Tartu, defending her master\u00b4s thesis on the topic \u201cAdvance Pricing Arrangements (APA) as a solution of problem in transfer pricing and custom duties in Estonia.\u201d With this master thesis, she won third place in the tax research competition organized by Estonian Taxpayer\u00b4s Union.
